End Time Events.

1. Is the world about to be destroyed??
2. Are we in the last days and has God’s judgment begun on the Earth?
3. Is the Lord coming soon. What are the signs of His coming??
4. Why are there so many calamities on the earth at this time?

9. What is the future for South Africa?

  Let’s look at what the Bible says:

 Matthew 24.

V 6. Ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars.

V 7. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

V 7. There shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

V 9. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

V 11. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

V 12. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

V 14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come

  Jesus and the second coming

Remember there are 2 groups of people the Lord is working with.

The Church. His Bride.

Israel. His political people.

We need to look at the second coming                                       

We consider three things.                                                           

HOW is the second coming going to occur.

WHY is the Lord coming back?

WHEN Is the Lord coming back?

 1Thessalonians 4:13 to 18 

Be not ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

                                                                                                            

Things to notice about Hus second coming: How will it happen?

Don’t be Ignorant about His second coming.

Those who have gone before us we will see again.

All the dead believers will come with the Lord.

There will be a shout, a sound of a trumpet.

An archangel will call you.

This is not a silent or secret second coming; it is to be a noisy event.

There will be a great reunion between we who are alive and those gone before us.

We shall be caught up to meet them up in the air.

This is not the time of judgment; it is the time of rejoicing.

The Bridegroom is coming for his bride.

The Second coming is part of the marriage proposal: The Why.

This was part of a Jewish proposal for marriage.

The suitor would leave the girl and go and prepare a place for her.

She would be considered to be her betrothed. She would prove her worth by being faithful to her suitor till he returns.

He could be gone for months or for years.

He would only come back when the place he had for her, would be ready.

He would come back to receive her to himself.

She would then spend the rest of her life with him as bride, wife and mother to his children.

These versus talk of intimacy communion and togetherness.

John 14:1  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

          Are you ready waiting for your Heavenly King?

Mat 25:1 to 10  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

The bridegroom tarried.

All ten slept.

The wise were filled with the Holy Spirit.

The unwise were nominal but not filled with the Spirit..

There is a cry at an unexpected time.

The family were to cry and call the bride to tell them He has come back for her.

The door was closed. Like Noah’s door the Lord will close it.

Those that are not ready will be left behind.

Inside the door we are safe and secure never to be lost, lonely, sad, and sick, etc, ever again.

 The Bride needs to be prepared.

When  we see the Lord  we will be like him.

Physical bodies that  eat, drink, scars, go through walls.

Spirits cannot enjoy the physical world without a body.

A man who has died; is in spirit without a body.

When the dead man  in spirit comes with Jesus from heaven he is going to need a glorified body.

Without it he cannot enjoy heaven.

The dead shall be clothed at this time with an immortal body, ready for the marriage.

We who are alive need to become immortal.

We need to be changed so that we can defy the laws of gravity.

We need to put on heavenly suits, quickened by the Holy Spirit to go up.

A body that will change in the twinkling of an eye.

1Co 15:50  to 54 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

        So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

The Marriage Feast of the Lamb the third reason why.

It is a time of rejoicing for all Saints.

The marriage is ready but so also is the bride.

We will stand before righteous without sin perfect in all ways because of the Cross and the Blood of the Lamb.

The Marriage is about a feast.

The Marriage is about old friends reuniting.

At the feast there is eating drinking and dancing.

It is the time and place for both the bride and the Bridegroom to make commitments to each other.

Rev 19:6 to 9 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thundering, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

 The Second coming is soon to occur. The question is WHEN?

 In 70 ad the Temple was destroyed.

 This indicated the times of the gentiles had begun.

 The rebuilding of the Temple means that time will come to an end.

 The Lord will then deal with the Jew and Israel.

 Jerusalem was taken back from the Gentiles in 1967 war with the Arabs.

 Jordan who controlled East Jerusalem was removed, the armies defeated by Israel.

 Luke 21:24  And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

 Lets look at Matthew 24.

 False Christs- Anointed ones.

 Wars and rumors of wars.

 Nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom.

 Famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes.

 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.

 The Second Coming.  The Blessed Hope.

 When the marriage feast is complete we his armies will come back with him ready to make war and to judge the nations.

 This is the day of judgment where individuals and the nations will be judged by him and by us.

 At the end of the day this second coming is about Him coming to fetch you to be with him forever.

 It is our blessed hope and we need to encourage one another telling each other about his second coming and us spending eternity with him.

 and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

 Revelation 19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

 1Corinthians 6:2 to 3 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?  

 Titus 2:13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
